SIMPLE and Soothing

simple is not a bad thing, especially when you pull it off like you did! And it really isn't even all that simple, you have quite a bit of different layers in there! Really a very good job, maybe just a bit of work on the dynamics.

Always love feedback, every bit of advice helps! - and thanks!

Reminds me of Neutral Milk Hotel a bit

Cool sound! A bit overbearing on the bottom and a little crazy with the sharp dynamic changes, but overall enjoyable

Like you said it is pretty random....

I liked the whistling section, and maybe for a video game this would work ok. The randomness does make me really want to actively listen to the song, but it isn't like it wouldn't make good background music.

Its up to you, if you want to make a more melodic piece that could stand by itself, then work on your melodies!

NICE- could easily be a soundtrack - but clutter

Good overall! you set the scene there and had some nice drums in the back with a good melody.

But you got a bit too carried away with making sure that the climax was epic, and it became muddy and cluttered. Took away from the song.

CHILL

I find it funny that it was random! But whatever happened worked well! Good job, I liked the sax at the end, but all of the riffs were really catchy

would make a great video game theme

would make a great video game theme fo sho

weemeee responds:

That it would.

I am impressed by quality of recording!

Wow, nice job, you can't tell it is being recorded live at all. You should pick up a few other instruments and then combine them like the last guy was suggesting

Ocarina-Kid responds:

Thanks a lot man, appreciate the comment. Can't say I'm all that musical but I'll give it a try ;)

TRIPPY

It was cool, but I definitely felt like I needed to be in a different place to completely enjoy that one... good job though

"here, take these drugs"

Nice, quirky and catchy!

NIce take, I enjoyed my seconds listening

Its a start...

You have solid chord progressions, which work very well for what you are trying to go for. Also it is clear that you didnt take the time to really mess around with dynamics, which is understandable.

However, it really needs percussion and some more layers to really stick out. And if you really want to make it good, you will need to do something about hte dynamics. Its more of a demo piece if anything

RetributionVox responds:

I feel you. GarageBand is a tough program if you don't have proTools, and Logic.
