I liked it. Extremely relaxing. Perhaps a change of instruments is needed though for the melody. But that really wasn't a deal breaker for me

The Magic Chords

I see you have found the magic chords. Have fun with them, as they truly are magic.

There is a lot of potential in this one buddy. Here is some advice to keep you going.

I found the melody a bit too random. If you could really work on making a catchy one with a bit more of a ptter that at the same time wasn't too repetitive that would be great.

Also, some more tracks are needed. There are many times during the song where the song was just too simple. You need to add some more depth.

Finally, you need to mess around with your arsenal of pitch changing, tempo changing, octave changing etc. tools so you can spice things up as the song progresses.

Good work for your 7th try though and keep it on coming!

[short Bossa Nova melody]

good but...

Considering it was all done on the computer it was pretty good, but it was almost painfully slow. At the beginning, when it was just the bass line, I felt like I was listening to a 6 year old at at their first piano recital. Speed it up, or add more to it, but as it stands it is only mediocre.

With that being said. I liked your melody.

thx man, ya I know what you mean by it being kinda slow. I was going to add more but this is kind of a small homework assignment from my piano teacher and I just wanted to see what people thought of it. I appreciate the feedback :)

Lots of potential

There is a lot of potential to this song. If you add some more layers and shake it up a bit more towards the end. This one could be really good.

It was ok for maybe background music

There really just was no substance to it for it to be something that I would actively listen to. However, I think it could easily be put to a video game or something. Overall, I think you did a fine job, it just isn't something that stands out.

I really liked it. Its a shame that you ran out of ideas for this song because it really has a lot of potential. I mean even as it stands now, it works really well. If you can find a way to get more melodic variation than I think it would be a 10. Great job.

The only thing I can really say is I gave up on the track. And when you do that, you basically kill the song, that's why I am stopping. I still have some ideas and stuff for the song but I am just going to walk away from it for now. I appreciate the review, thank you.

Terrible melody

The bass line/ambient pad was perfectly fine, but the melody on top? What were you thinking? I mean I guess it could be used in a video game of some sort to set the mood for a crazy robot whore house, but thats about as far as I will give it.

That being said, maybe you were just experimenting, but better luck next time.

basically we didnt know what to do, so we jsut added some random notes, and edited them a little.

i made this album to get to sleep as i was making music as soon as i woke up in the morning until late at night and i found it difficult to stop making music in my head.This helped me shut off and fall asleep.....
