Very chill as you have described in your tags. I wasn't a big fan of the instrument choice of the chimes which made it sound cheesy and also not R&B. Perhaps different choices in instrumentation?

Great stuff! Sounds like a professional dubstep song.

haha) thank you, mate)

Great Video game music!!

Love it!

El-Scotto1 responds:

Thanks!

As another pianist who likes to do improvised arrangements, I really enjoyed listening to your work. Some very rich chords in there, and a lot of different sounds. You also did a great job of keeping some sort of consistent idea throughout the entirety of the piece, which I know can be hard to do sometimes. Great job!

El-Scotto1 responds:

Thanks for the review! This isn't an arrangement, it's free improv came up with on the spot. However, I had practiced quite a bit in working with the harmonic and melodic language of Ginastera, which made the consistency easier.

WOW, really sounds pro. You can tell you spent a lot of time on this. In terms of how you put it together, your choice of instruments, your beat and your contrast you nailed it. The reason for why you lost a star, is because you fell into the trap that so many people do (including me) you found a very catchy chord progression, which don't get me wrong it is, but it wasn't good enough to make up a 5 minute song. If you could only include even maybe one different progression to shake things up in there then you would have something really awesome.

Catchy, simple, perfect for the genre. I liked that it featured enough variation so that it wasn't completely the same thing.

Cons, the ending was awful. More importantly, you need to beef up your dynamic contrast which is really what can make or break this sort of music. As it is right now, it sounds more like it would be a video game song rather than something at a club because of the very consistent dynamics of the instruments. I would assume that a big part of this is as you said it isn't professionally mastered.

tutter responds:

Thanks for your opinion.

Yeah, probably. This is the first thing I've ever tried to actually master, so yeah..

How could I make the ending sound better, make it fade out, perhaps?

Great guitar skills and very good sound for a recorded version. Unfortunately you are right about your voice, don't count yourself out, just really work on it. A lot of the times you were off pitch as well as doing this half speaking half singing. With that said, don't give up with singing, you just need to practice it just like any other instrument.

TylerFromTexas responds:

Singing has always been my weak spot since I started playing guitar over three years ago, so normally I had someone else sing it for me. One of these days though, I will manage to sing well, but as you said I must practice. Glad you like my guitar playing though!

Very chill, I liked the use of bells. Reminded me of an indonesian gamelan.

Accyber responds:

Glad you liked it. :)

A good video game song, I definitely can see this being used. Hopefully it is

veemon1 responds:

thanks, that means alot. i think if it was used in an actual game id be an extremely happy person
